Good Entries Face Judge at Opouriao
The same afternoon Mr Rae carried .out the judging at the Opouriao school. There were fifteen calves entered and the children also had an indoors display of flowers and decorative work.
Calf judging results follow: Senior, Grade Light-Breed (5 entries): Bob Prince 1, John Philpott 2, Kathleen Soutar 3. Junior, Grade Light Breed (10 entries): Gavin McGougan 1, Ronnie Soutar 2, Maurice Richardson 3. Pedigree: Cedric Green 1.
Best Reared Calf: Kathleen Soutar 1, Rae Philpott 2, Gavin McGougan
Calf Pointing (judge’s points 74): Cedric Green 75, Bob Prince 73, John Philpott 73.
