Fines Imposed On Traffic Offenders
A number of minor traffic offences engaged some of the time of Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane on Tuesday. Prosecuted by Mr A. Carling, County Traffic Inspceor, for driving vehicles without warrants of fitness, William C. Davis, J. M. Downes, N. E. Rigden, I. F. Savage and N. A. Eagle were all convicted and fined 10/- with costs. E. J. Hickey, convicted of driving Without a license, was fined 5/- and costs.
Transport Department Cases On the information of the Transport Department’s Inspector, Mr K. R. McD. Sharpe, Donald Wedgwood Boon was convicted and fined 10/with costs for driving a vehicle without a warrant of fitness, on a similar charge Donald George Campbell was convicted and ordered to pay costs only, and Peter Lyon Baird, found guilty of driving without a license was fined 5/- and costs.
