No Infantile Paralysis Cases Officially Reported Here Yet: Christmas Carnival Postponed
Up to the time of going to press today, no cases of infantile paralysis in this district had been officially reported to the Health Inspector, Mr A. R. Knights. No suspected cases have been admitted to the district hosjpital. The Christmas-New Year Carnival Committee met on Wednesday night and decided to postpone the carnival to next yfear. The Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, has issued an appeal to all organisations and private citizens to discourage children from congregating.. There are now 20 positive and 15 suspected cases in the Auckland hospital.
