During the week-end the Whakatane United Cricket Club travelled to Te Aroha and succeeded in defeating the local club by 6 wickets after being behind on the Ist innings. Following are the scores:— Te Aroha Ist innings, 117, M. Townshend 41, R. Lindale 38. Bowling: W. J. McKenzie 4 for 26; L. R. Spring 3 for 43. 2nd innings, 71, D. Rowes 29. Bowling: L.> R. Spring 3 for 25. Whakatane United Ist innings, 86, W. J. McKenzie 35. Bowling: D. Lawes 8 for 32. 2nd innings, 163 for 4 wickets, M. Le Pine 42, W. J. McKenzie 37, L. R. Spring 32, E.
