Bill To Compel Letting Of Vacant Houses To Proceed
The New Zealand Herald says it is learned from a most authoritative source that there is no possibility of the Government’s shelving the Housing Accommodation Bill, which will provide for the compulsory letting of empty houses, and that it will be introduced into the House of Representatives within the next two weeks. Containing 11 clauses, the hill will be the principal remaining bone of contention this season.
