Every Conscience Must Be Aroused To Importance Of Aid To Britain Efforts

Strong commendation for all attempts being made to help Britain in the present food crisis was expressed by the Presbyterian Assembly in its debate on public questions.

“If any effective help is to be sent to Britain,” said the Rev. P. G. Hughes, convenor, “the conscience of every individual must be aroused.” '

All aid in the form of food parcels was valuable but more help was needed by reducing this country’s demands on food supplies by avoiding waste and especially by increasing production.
