Mr T. C. Morrison well known All Black three-quarter and member of the N.Z. Rugby Union Council, is at present in Whakatane. He is conferring with Mr Henderson, of the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union, and members of the Whakatane Rugby Union on Rugby matters will today inspect the proposed new Rugby grounds at the Domain.
At the Cambridge Competitions Festival held last week, the Pianoforte" Solo tinder 10 attracted’24 entrants, first place was awarded to Dorothy Thompson, the youngest competitor. The Adjudi:ator, Mr L. C. M. Saunders, of Auckland, said in his remarks the. competitor was a musician of great promise. Dorothy is the daughter and Mr and Mrs W. J. R. Thompson, of Edgecumbe.
