CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of the Murupara-Galatea Sports Club was held at Murupara on Wednesday, September 24. Mr J. Young presided while the auditor’s report was read, and Mrs Dykstra acted as secretary pro tern. The resignation of the past year’s secretary Mrs J. Young, was accepted with regret, and appreciation of her valuable services was recorded. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr Stunnell; .vicepresident, Mr Walsh; executive committee, Mrs Dykstra, Mrs King, Messrs. Dickson, Neville, Collins, Cawte, Cameron, Young, Pratt, with power to add. The appointment of a secretarytreasurer was discussed, and it was decided to advertise locally. The job is an energetic one, and it was agreed to give an honorarium of £25 for the services of the successful applicant. Another general meeting will be called when the secretary-treasurer is appointed.
