STOCK MARKET
PRICES AT WAIMANA SALE Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report having held their Waimana sale on 25th inst. when more than the advertised numbers of stock came forward and practically a total clearance was effected at full late market quotations. Forward and calved Jersey heifers met with keen competition while all classes of fat and forward cattle were keenly sought after. Yearling cattle that were penned were mostly off colour types. Prices were:— Choice quality calved and springing heifers to £2l ss; good quality springing Jersey heifers £l2 10s to £l4 15s; medinm quality springing Jersey heifers £lO to £l2; calved Jersey heifers £7 to £9 15s; dairy cows £7 to £ls 10s; backward heifers £7 to £9; small mixed colours, weaners Jersey cross heifers to £4 7s 6d; fat S.H. cows £lO 10s to £ls 10s; fat Jersey cows £7 to £8; empty 2-year heifers £4 10s to £6 Is; boner cows £4 to £6 ss.
