INCREASED VALUES
SLIPE WOOL PAYMENTS The New Zealand Meat Producers Board announces that agreement has been reached whereby all Meat Exporters shall pay out • increased values of slipe wool from sheep and lambs killed for export during the period October 1, 1946, to May 31, 1947. Schedule increases have already been made to provide for the increased value of slipe wool on stock killed from June 1, 1947, until t'he end of the season. ! Under the agreement the following per head payments will be made as soon as practicable to farmers who sold their sheep and lambs at schedule rates during the period October 1, 1946, to May 31, 1947. North Island Woolly Lambs: Killed before 1/1/47, per head 9id; during January lid; February 12-gd; March 13Jd; April 15d; May 16d. North Island Shorn Lambs: Killed before 1/2/47, per head 2d; during February 2gd; March 3id; April sd; May sfd. North Island Wethers: Killed before 1/2/47, per head 3§d; during February s£d; March 7id; April 9gd; May 10fd. North Island Ewes: Killed before 1/2/47, per head 2|d; during February 4d; March s£-d; April 7rid; May 7fd. During the ensuing season arrangements will be made by which full wool values will be reflected in export schedule prices operating at time of purchase thus obviating any such adjustment as became necessary during the past season when the results of the new selling arrangements for wool were unknown.
