REGENT THEATRE
“TOMORROW IS FOREVER” Saturday and Monday. Most motion pictures appeal to the public because of their excitement or suspense or their eye appeal. “Tomorrow Is Forever” which opens at the Regent Theatre has all these elements of fine entertainment plus that magnetic and satisfying quality —heart appeal. Once or twice each season comes a picture deep in human emotions and human consideration. This new International picture starring Claudette Colbert, Orson Welles and George Brent quickly takes rank.
To attempt to tell the story of John MacDonald and his charming young bride who believes herself a widow, and Larry Hamilton who marries her, in this space, would be foolhardy. At any rate, a chemist, Erich Kessler, maimed in World War I, enters the lives of the Hamiltons, providing moments of fascinating suspense and compelling drama rich in heart appeal, so superb and so sensitive in its performance. Gwen Bristow’s book was a best seller. Lenore Coffee’s screenplay is a rare writing achievement, and under the splendid guidance of Director Irving Pichel three accomplished stars respond with interpretations superior to anything they have done before.
