Xmas Parcels For U.K.
Early posting of parcels for Britain to ensure delivery before Christmas is recommended by the Postmaster-General (Mr Hackett) who has stated that posting should certainly not be later than the middle of October. No definite date • could be fixed for the closing of Christmas parcel mails, said the 'Minister. It would not be possible •to send the whole of the parcel mails by any one vessel or from any one port and the latest suitable ■dispatch date was likely to vary in ■different parts of New Zealand.
