School Text Books A suggestion from the New Zealand Educational Institute that the Government import suitable school text books and reference books has drawn from the Education Department the reply that the textbook shortage overseas is as bad as it is in New Zealand. The Education Department is producing text books, specially suited for local conditions, as quickly as possible. Meanwhile some’ education boards are doing their own importing of reference and other school books, but orders are slow to come to hand.
