TIME SIGNALS
THE N.Z. SYSTEM Taking the form of six dots at intervals of one second—last dot being the exact minute—radio time signals, originating from the Dominion Observatory at Wellington ,are broadcast at 28, 29 and 30 minutes of the hour through Station 2YA four times each day as follows: (1) 10 28—29—30 a.m. (2) 3 28—29—30 p.m. (3) 7 28—29—30 p.m. (4) 10 28—29—30 p.m. In event of failure of any of above signals, they are broadcast half an hour later. In addition to above, Station 2YA transmits the six dots hourly from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. inclusive.
