RED CROSS
TE TEKO BRANCH AUGUST MEETING > There was a good attendance of members when the Te Teko SubCentre of the Red Cross Society met at Mrs L. B. Smith’s house for the August meeting. A very satisfactory pile of sewing was the result of the day’s work. It was decided to spend another £95 on “Food for Britain” and to hold a clothes drive for overseas relief, Mrs Smith kindly offering the use of her house as a depot. Saturday, November 29 was decided on for the annual effort for funds and this is to be a flower show with various produce and fancy stalls. As it is a new venture for Te Teko the sub-committee, which was formed to draw up the schedule of classes, hopes to have enough support to make the flower show an annual event.
