The eight players knocked out in the first round will be placed in a Flight for each grade. The Medal Scramble played on Saturday was won by N. Hockin 77—8—69 on a count back from L. Littlejohn 86—17—69 and B. L. Butler 91—22—69. The Captain’s Trophy, for the best nett score in the qualifying rounds, was won by W. D. Steel with 164 24—140. ‘ , Next Saturday’s Fixture The fixture io? next Saturday has been changed from a Foursome to a Four Ball Best Balk Bogey competition. Players on short handicaps are invited to accept this opportunity of pairing with the longer markers, making up fours an starting as early as possible.
All outstanding semi-finals in the various cup competitions sh’ould be completed on the coming weekend. TE TEKO LADIES’ CLUB WEEKEND DRAW The first round in the play off for the Saunders Trophy is to be played this week. B grade to play the first round of an Eclectic competition. Following is the draw:— Thursday: Mrs Goodwin and Mrs Hutton; Mrs A. P. Smith and Mrs Balfour; Mrs Cannell and partner. Sunday: Mrs Thomas and Mrs A. P. Smith; Mrs Francis and Mrs Balfour; Mrs Russell and Mrs Caldwell.
Saunders Trophy (the number in brackets being place of qualifying in each case): Miss Murray (1) b.bye; Mrs Burr (4) v Mrs Linsell (5); Mrs Hendle (6) v Miss Linsell (3); Mrs Caldwell (9) v Miss Cornish (7). The results in the fourth round of the President’s and Captain’s points prizes were: Mrs Thomas 3 points; Mrs Hutton 2 points; Mrs Francis 1 point; Mrs Caldwell 3 points; Miss Murray 2 points; Miss Linsell 1 point. Following are the draws for the Senior and Junior Championships: Senior: Mrs Thomas (1) v Mrs L. B. Smith (8)'; Mrs Blake (4)/V Mrs A. P. Smith (5); Mrs Balfour (6) v Mrs Hutton (3); Mrs Francis (7) v Mrs Goodwin (9). All first round matches must be completed by September 7.
Mrs Thomas has donated . two challenge buttons. These are to be played for by fourball match play Players please choose their own partners and enter pairs on board in the clubhouse. B grade players to partner C grade players. '
