MEMORIAL HALL

OPENING AT RUATOKI CEREMONY ON SATURDAY The new War Memorial Hall at Ruatoki, which is now completed, will be opened on Saturday next at 10 a.m. The building which is a substantial addition to the existing structures on the grounds of- the main Pa, has been erected as a War Memorial to the memory of the local Maoris who made the supreme sacrifice in the late war. The cost has been met by liberal donations from the local Maoris and many of their Pakeha friends who have favoured the erection of a permanent public facility to mark the war losses sustained by the local tribes.
