FOOTBALL DANCE

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION AUCKLAND REPS. ATTEND Despite heavy rain on Saturday night dancers turned out in large numbers to a function at which the Auckland and Bay reps, were the guests of honour, The Winter Show Buildings presented a very bare appearance until almost 9 o’clock when the majority of the patrons began to arrive. After this the evening really got under way. Freddie Burt’s orchestra supplied the music and an excellent programme of modern and old-time dances was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A feature of the evening was the “Kilroy” waltz. The dancers formed a chain and moved around the hall. When the chain stopped the lady who was partnering “Kilroy” ceived the prize. The Lucky Lady was Mrs Benseman. Catering was in the hands of Mr Bell and a delightful supper was served.
