PLUNKET SOCIETY

WHAKATANE MEETING The monthly committee meeting of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society was held on August 4. Those present were Mesdames Cairns (in the chair), Debreceny, Morpeth, Zinsli, Shapley, O’Rourke and Roach. Mrs Cobbe and Miss Thomas, president and secretary respectively, of Ohope sub-brnach, were also present. Apologies for absence were 'received from Mesdames Dainton, Spring, and Kingsley-Smith. The nurse’s report for July was received. Mrs Shapley and Mrs Cobbe will represent Whakatane branch at the Provincial Conference to be held in Auckland on August 12. A general discussion took place on matters relating to the conference. Nurse Armstrong who is at present on two months leave of absence will resume her duties on August 25. The annual meeting of the Plunket Society will be held this month and the committee hopes all mothers will make it convenient to attend.
