WHAKATANE' HARBOUR REVENUE REMARKABLE COMPARISON At the July meeting of the Whakatane Harbour Board the Treasurer reported on wharfages received as under:—
The secretary also stated that monthly cargo statistics were ‘ now being received from the Government -Statistician. For the four months ended April 30, the return .showed:—
Tauranga Vessels 21, net manifest tonnage, 2562. Whakatane Vessels 36, net manifest tonnage, 4041. Opotiki Vessels 11, net manifest tonnage, 1152. Comparative figures for year ended December 31, 1946, were as follows:
Tauranga 18,265 manifest tons. Whakatane 28,079 manifest tons Opotiki 14,474 manifest tons.
