TWO PICKUP GAMES SATURDAY MORNING MATCHES On Saturday morning two fast exciting games were enjoyed in Whakatane. , The first was between the Taneatua and Whakatane. Boys’ Brigades. Taneatua lost to the home team, the score being: Whakatane 12, Taneatua 3. '
A keenly contested game between Cubs and Lifeboys resuited in a draw, 3—3. Both teams tried hard to score but were very evenly matched and the score remained the same. ’
Mr Whitehead refereed the two games. .
