PUBLIC NOTICES RANGITAIKI LAND DRAINAGE NOTICE OF INTENTION -TO MAKE AND LEVY GENERAL RATES Department of Lands & Survey, Wellington. 24th July, 1947. Notice is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance-costs for the period Ist April, 1947, to 31st March, 1948, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1947, together with the special rates already made and levied. The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, 'Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Land Drainage Engineer, at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all time at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business. SCHEDULE Class A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed under Section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, fivepence and thirty-one one-hundredths of a penny (5.31 d) in the pound. Class B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, threepence and fiftyfour one-hundredths of a penny (3.54 d) in the pound. Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and sev-enty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (1.77 d) in the pound.
