YOUTH RALLY

TOMORROW EVENING’S GATHERING For the purpose of hearing something about the new movement combining the youth of all organisations, which is known as the ‘Young Citizens Movement’ members of the Boys Brigade, Life. Boys, Scouts, Cubs, Guides* Brownies, St. John Ambulance Cadets, Boys Bands, and Gymnasium Classes, are invited to attend a Youth Rally to be held in the Caledonian Hall on Thursday evening (tomorrow) at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be addressed byMr Te Hira Fergusson who for the past four years has been prominently associated with youth organisations in this town, and who has recently joined the ‘Young Citizens Movement.’ Mr Fergusson will meet many of his old friends and will take the opportunity of bidding them farewell before leaving. Parents and friends are cordially invited to be present. All young members of the various youth groups are requested to bring a plate.

The proceedings will be as informal and as friendly as possible and occasion will also be taken to present the ‘Craigellachie Shield’ for the best piper under 21 years of age in the Bay of Plenty, to Piper Russell Hurst who won the trophy last New Year’s Day, at the annual Caledonian Sports.
