ADJOURNED INQUEST
INSURANCE AGENT’S DEATH HOTEL INCIDENT An inquest into the death of Mr F. W. Webb, an Insurance Inspector of Auckland, who was found dead in his room at the Whakatane Hotel on July 16, was opened before Mr C. S. Armstrong, coroner, last week and adjourned sine die.
Mr E. Wilson, insurance agent, said that he had an appointment to meet deceased at the hotel on the morning of his death. He enquired for Mr Webb at the hotel office and was told that he may not have come down to breakfast. He was given the number of the room and went up. When he entered he found deceased lying on his back on the bed apparently unconscious. A doctor was sent for and pronounced Mr Webb to be dead.
After the evidence had been heard the inquest was adjourned as above.
