Domain Board’s First Meeting
In accordance with Gazetted notice, the first meeting of the newlyconstituted Whakatane Domain Board, which automatically becomes the personnel o.f the Borough Council, took place last Monday evening, at the conclusion of council business. The Mayor informed Councillors that the old Board was not in a position to hand over a statement of accounts at the present time and suggested that the meeting be adjourned until August. Thj.s course was agreed upon, the council referring the matter of the terms of . the new lease to the Finance Committee in the meantime.
