APPRECIATION

CARE AND ATTENTION LETTERS RECEIVED Two letters were received by the Hospital Board at its July meeting expressing appreciation of the care and attention shown to patients by the staff. Mr Caulfield stated that such letters gave encouragement to the board and to the staff. The' chairman said that a former patient, had told him that he had been in 16 such institutions. The treatment he had received at Whakatane compared more than favourably with that in the other hospitals.

It was decided to forward letters of lihanks to the senders of the two letters received.
