RUGBY LEAGUE

. MANUKAU v BAY GAMES AT RUATOKI On Saturday last rugby league matches were played at the Ruatoki Domain. The weather -was excellent and a good crowd attended. The senior rep. match, Manukau v Bay of Plenty was won by Manukau by 26 points to 14. Juniors: Bay of Plenty 22, Manukau 9.

The Bay scorers were: G. Matiu '(2 tries), P. Paruru and O. Peri. M. Hohua kicked two goals. Rameka scored a try for Manukau and Bell kicked two penalties. The final score was: Bay 22, Manukau 9.

Mr T. Whetu was referee. Seniors: Manukau 26, Bay of Plenty 14. Manukau scorers were: M. Harawira (2 tries), D. Smith, J. Pai, E. Opai, R. McLean, Mayo. Butler kicked some excellent goals. For the Bay scorers were: M. Tiopira, P. McGarvey (try and a penalty goal), M. Tihi, B. Biddle. Mr J. Biddle was referee.
