TANEATUA CLUB OPENING DAY A very pleasant day was spent by members and friends when the Taneatua Golf Club held their opening recently. Owing to a number of members entering the Services at the commencement of the war the club found it necessary to go into recess for the duration. When the war ended the premises previously occupied were not available and it was not until this year that the club was able to recommence activities on a new nine-hole course.
Mr Alexander, president, opened the links with a very well hit ball after having thanked all those who by their work and coo-peration had made the opening possible. The lady members served a delicious luncheon and afternoon tea which contributed in no small way to the success of the opening day.
