That’s Torn It!

A certain office in Whakatane has become a foster home to a small spaniel dog who is a familiar sight on the streets. He delights in carrying any articles available and when he accompanies a member of the staff on an errand is usually given a rolled up newspaper to carry. On Friday the usual procedure was gone through, with a slight difference. The young man who acompanied the dog was kept rather longer than usual in the shop and when he emerged found that “Soda” had occupied the time tearing up the newspaper. The joke was appreciated by all, even by “Soda’s” companion who cleaned up the mess while Soda sat by with a look af canine innocence.
