' The “Seagull” loaded with manure is also due £nd will possibly 1 arrive tonight as well. Editor Fareweiled Last Friday Mr A. J. L. Sheat, who has been editing the Beacon during the absence of Mr C. King-sley-Smith, was fareweiled by the staff of the paper. Mr R. V. Mercer, foreman, made a short speech and presented Mr Sheat with a small gift to mark his association with the Beacon. Mr Kingsley-Smith is due back next week.. Elderly Drivers Increase The number of people applying for renewal of driving licenses who are more than 70 years old is increasing each year. After reaching 70, it is necessary for an applicant to have a driving test each year, and also an oral test. He must also present a medical certificate.
