POWER EXTENSIONS
IN WHAKATANE COUNTY BOARD’S PLANS FOR YEAR The estimated capital expenditure by the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board for the year ending on March 31, 1948 amounts to £16,989 and allows for the completion of the Matahina Branch and the Otamarakau Extension. The Board’s estimates show an anticipated expenditure of £65,596 for the year. Receipts are expected to reach the same amount. The estimates take, into account the effect of power restrictions on the year’s operations. Included in the above total is the sum of £6200 required for the usual short extensions, meters, and timeswitches etc., and increased transformer capacity.
