COUNTRY WEEK TOURNEY WHAKATANE TEAMS’ EFFORTS Whakatane men’s and women’s teams showed themselves to be good triers in their games against stronger sides in the Auckland Country Week tournament this week. It was not. expected that the Whakatane teams would have much success, but the experience gained should be of the utmost benefit to players, especially those making their first visit to the Auckland tournament.

represent Wairaka against Ngahina on Sunday at Ruatoki: H. Hudson (Capt), C. Tuhoro, B. Merito, B. Penny, R. Crapp, C. Rua, S. Davis, Tina Riini, Tai Riini, J. Biddle, P. Wahapango, R. Hohua.
