MUSICAL FESTIVAL

NOTABLE EVENT AT TIRAU Students of music and others interested have been invited to travel to Tirau to be present at the Beethoven Festival on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The noted concert performers, Lili Kraus (pianist) and Robert Pikler (violinist) are to a musical,' treat such as is seldom available to musiclovers in country districts.. Both, have been touring New Zealand for some time and have gone out of their way to visit the smaller centres and to assist music students. Miss Kraus and Mr Pikler, who both received their musical education in Hungary, endured nearly four years of captivity after the Japanese invasion of Java.
