JUNIOR GAMES In the first of the junior games at the Domain on Saturday Wairaka, defeated Poroporo by six points. The ground and ball were in poor condition and slowed up play considerably. Wairaka had the best- of the game but Poroporo put up a solid defence. Scorers for Wairaka were J. Lafferty (try, conversion and penalty) and Rio.

For Poroporo Tiepa scored and Wano converted. Mr C. Wells was referee. Paroa v Waimana

Paroa sebured a nine point victory over Waimana in a rather slow moving game. Keepa, Ratahi and J. Whetu scored unconverted tries. Mr J. Whitehead was referee. RANGITAIKI v WHAKATANE
