MINISTER’S REPLIES TO DEPUTATIONS

Several requests for urgent improvements to roads and bridges in the Whakatane County were placed before the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, by deputations at the County Chambers on Thursday evening.

The chairman of the County Council, Mr J. L. Burnett, presided and welcomed the Minister who was accompanied by Mr Beck, engineer-in-chief.
