Baby’s Skeleton Found

During the holidays the skeleton of a baby was found by a party of children in the vicinity of the old Te Tumu flaxmill. Older residents will remember the mill which in their time employed considerable labour. Speculation is rife and popular opinion favours the suggestion that it may be the remains of a child who was lost some nine years ago and for whom an extensive search was made.
