JUNIOR GAMES PAROA 13, WAIRAKA 9 UNITED 27, POROPORO 3 In the first of the lyso junior games at the Domain on Saturday Paroa defeated Wairaka by 4 points. It was a good game to watch and both teams showed excellent style. Scorers for Paroa were: Takatahiwi (converted), D. Tawa (converted). A penalty goal kicked by D. 'Tawa gave the remaining points. For Wairaka Reo scored one try and J. Lafferty two. None of these was converted. _ \ Mr. J. Whitehead was referee. United Defeats Poroporo United by hard and steady play secured a 24 point victory over their opponents. Poroporo was the weaker side but United did not leave any .loopholes in their play nevertheless. Scorers for United were Lines, Quigg (converted Rutherford), Rutherford, Shapley (converted Goodall), Carling (2), and Chadwick '(converted Rutherford). Poroporo’s three points came from a penalty put over by M. Tiepa. Mr G. Oswald was referee. UNITED .JUNIOR 'TEAM The junior team to play at Waimana on Saturday is as follows: Mundy, Diners, Skelton, Taylor, G. 'Goodall, Mickell, R. Goodall,' P. Armstrong, Laloli, Patterson, Edmondson,' Shapley, Quigg, Carling, Chadwick, Howat, Henderson, Inder, Rutherford.
