Red Cross Meeting
Everyone knows it is hard turning out these chilly nights but the Red Cross Committee wishes to assure the public there will be a big open fire in their rooms on the occasion of the Centre Annual Meeting on Wednesday, 28th and a cup of tea to warm them up before going home. So roll up and support the Society. Launch Stuck
The sight of the Harbour Board launch firmly stuck on the bar on Sunday afternoon confronted visitors to the Heads. Apparently the vessel had left her return late and failed to make the entrance. Most of those aboard were taken off in a dinghy and one man stayed behind to await the rising of the tide. New Barrier A welcome innovation at the Domain has appeared in the shape of erected to keep the spectators back from the sidelines. Consisting of a single wire strung along the barriers are very sturdy and serve their purpose well. Three have been constructed.
