HOME SCIENCE BLOCK

PERMIT DEFERRED “PUSHING” ADVOCATED A letter deferring the building of a home science block at the High School in face of the increasing shortages in building materials was received by the school committee recently. Mr Wilson stated that he thought the committee should keep at the authorities. The main building had been cut in two to allow the erection of the block and was not waterproof. The four new rooms recently built had only been obtained as a result of continued letters to the authorities and he thought that such might well be the case with the Home Science block, which was a very necessary adjunct to the school.
