AWAKERI BRANCH SUCCESSFUL DANCE The Awakeri Y.F.C. held a very successful dance in the Awakeri Hall on Saturday night. There was an excellent crowd present including a packed bus from Whakatane. The floor was slippery and .several couples came to grief but nevertheless the programme was enjoyed by aiL The hall had been decorated and music was supplied by the Premier orchestra. Competition waltzes were won by Mr R. Brown and Miss V. Clark and Mr R.'Thom and Miss E. Lodge. Mr J. M. Barr was M.C. ■
