Apples For Britain
Britain will receive 50,000 cases of Sturmer apples from Nelson this season. The Overseas Shipowners Allotment Committee has been advised that the British Ministry of Food has agreed to accept up to 50,000 cases of apples at the expense of either meat or dairy products. The shipowners will allocate space on vessels loading early in May by a corresponding curtailment of the space for meat.
