RIFLE SHOOTING

RAN GIT AIKI CLUB SATURDAY’S SHOOT The Rangitaiki Rifle Club held their usual practice shoot on Saturday. The standard of shooting was poor. This was caused by the poor type of paper used in making the targets, which soon faded and with a changing light the bull became hard to see. Davies was top with 64 closely followed by Moore with 63. The next shoot will be held on Saturday, May 10. To make the shoot more interesting teams will be selected from various districts, namely: Taneatua, Thornton, Edgecumbe, Otakiri and Manawahe. Results were as follows:

500yds 600yds Tl. L. Davies 33 31 64 W. Moore 33 30 63 A. Moore 31 31 62 L. Mikkelsen 31 30 61 W. Arbuckle 31 28 59 F. Johnstone 28 30 58 C. Penny 29 29 58 P. McGillan 29 29 58 J. Butler 30 28 58 P.
