TE TEKO BRANCH MEETING On April 15, the annual general meeting of the Te Teko Women's Division of the Farmers' Union took place in the Te Teko Hall. There was a good attendance of members. Mrs Pryor opened the meeting with the reading of the Creed. After the balance sheet and the president's report had been presented Mrs A. Jamieson proposed a vote of thanks to Mrs J. Pryor for the hard work and unfailing interest she had devoted to Division matters during her term of office. This was carried by acclamation and a gift was presented to her as a token of appreciation from members.
Shoulder sprays were also presented to Mrs Pryor, Mrs S. Cannel, secretary; Mrs J. B. Thomas, housekeping secretary and Mrs C. Hallett, competitions secretary. In the presentation of prizes for the year Mrs A. Jamieson won a very popular victory in all branches; competitions, best bloom and attendance. Election of Officers The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows: Mrs Thomas, president and housekeeping secretary; Mrs Cannell, secretary; Mrs Hallett, competition secretary; Mrs Hendl, hostess convenor; committee, Mesdames Goodwin, J. Pryor, Hutton, Harty and Newman. A new member, Mrs C. T. Waldegrave, was welcomed by Mrs Thomas. Afternoon tea, which was served by Mesdames Balfour and Smith, brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
