RED CROSS
TE TEKO BRANCH APRIL MEETING Mrs L. B. Smith presided at the April meeting of the Te Teko branch of the Red Cross Society. In view of the fact that the branch's funds were in a singularly satisfactory condition it was decided to make two donations—£l2 in response to an appeal from Dominion Headquarters, and £lO to the St. John Ambulance district appeal. A parcel of tinned food was packed for a needy orphanage in England, and it was decided to make this a monthly parcel made possible by each member agreeing to bring a tin of food to every meeting. Preliminary arrangements were discussed for an old clothes sale in May; also a Flower Show to be held early in November.
