Sales of Sections
A statement that the South Auckland Land Sales Committee had noted with that in a number of cases where its consent to the sale of vacant land had been sought the purchaser had started building, was made recently by the chairman of the committee, Mr J. W. Kealy. “If the committee should find itself unable to consent to the sale at the price agreed upon between the two parties and the vendor should then refuse to complete the transaction at the reduced price, the purchaser might find himself in the position of having spent substantial sums on improvements to land which he did not own and was unable to acquire, with no legal right to redress of any kind,” he said.
