POISONING AND FUMIGATING
The following is an extract of Inspector C. H. Davis’s report to the March meeting of the Pongakawa Rabbit Board and gives a fair indication of the widespread activities of this organisation and the valuable nature of the work being done: Since last meeting we have worked on the following places: Messrs. Symonds, Flood, Withey, Lambert, Eivers, Rimmer, Bridge, Thompson, Drable, Dennehy, Logan, King, Bowden, Fenton, Coffin, Appleby, Relf, Anderson, Erskine, Challis, Ball, Walters, Blaymires, Grieves, Dockerty, Brightwell, Madigan, Hastie, Cook, Neilson, Dohnt, Halcomb, Ross, Pontney, Lichenstein, Dixon, Levin, Pugh, Boyd, Main, Wright, Bevan, Bowditch, Ball, Washer, Jaffray, Downie, Matthews, McCarthy, Roberts, Watts, Magee, Swan, Mackie, Black, Milson, Caute, Bense-> man, Gibbons, Cato, Dunn’s Estate, Moore, Hyland, Henry and Crews. Crown Lands: Ruawahia, Tarawera, Murupara, Rangitaiki Flats, Sandhills and Edgecumbe. Native Lands: Edgecumbe, Galatea and Ruawahia.

We have poisoned 13,790 acres and fumigated 10,285 acres, using 13041bs phosphorised pollard and 781bs of cyanogas. This area will have all been poisoned by the 28th of this month and we will be able to dispense with the services of one man from that date.
