CUCKOO CLOCKS AGAIN

PRODUCTION IN GERMANY Hand-made cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest, which were in millions of homes all over the world before the war, will be available again soon, it is announced from the French zone of occupied Germany. Revival of the famous Baden clock industry was made possible by an agreement between the clock industries of South Germany and France whereby the French will supply the raw materials and market 80 per cent, of the output. The yodelling cuckoo clock, originally sold by travelling peddlers * in Germany, is the most famous product of the 150-year-old industry.
