WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL held on Tuesday the 25th day of February 1947 the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at. the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the 25th day of March 1947 at 11 a.m. at the County Council - Chambers, Whakatane. RESOLUTION. IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 122 of the Counties Act 1920 and Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act 1929, and with the consent of the ratepayers of that area in the Whakatane County known as the Manawahe Separate Rating District, as testified by a Petition dated the Fourteenth day of February 1947 and signed: by a majority of the ratepayers in the said area—the lands comprising such area being fully described in the Schedule appearing in the said Petition a copy of which petition and schedule is attached to the Minutes of this Meeting and shall form part of this Resolution— THE WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby resolves by way of SPECIAL ORDER to make and levy a separate rate of Sevenpence three farthings (7|d) in the pound upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property within the said Manawahe Separate Riding District, and that such separate rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the period,required in which to repay in full all moneys advanced applied or expended by the Council in connection with the road improvement and re-alignment works mentioned in' the said Petition and until cancelled in accordance with the provision thereof and shall be yearly on the 9th day of September in each year during the said period. AND NOTICE is further given that the said Petition and the minutes containing the Special Order with the list of lands in the. said Manawahe Separate Rating District will be open to inspection by the Public at the County Office, the Strand, Whakatane, during ordinary officd hours for a period of at least 21 days immediately preceding the said meeting to be held on the 25th day of March, 1947.
