WHAKATANE SOCIETY MEETING LECTURE ON ‘PERFS’ The February meeting of the Whakatane Philatelic Society took place in the Borough Council Chambers last Tuesday evening, the president, Mr H. O. Garaway, in the chair. There was a good attendance of members and an informative and instructive evening was spent. The competition was presented by Mr R. Coates, and was won by Mr T. Cradock. The lecture of the evening was supplied by the president who spoke on stamp perforation and supplied several interesting examples of imperforation, rouletting, slot-mach-ines, line perforation and comb perforations.

The evening closed with an enjoyable supper served by the ladies.
