Good (Whakatane), Cuthbert (Te Puke), Whitfield (Opotiki Citizens), Hearle (Taneatua), and Bartlett (Tauranga South).

Results, the games being played on a two-life system: Fii-st round— Good beat Budd, Stevens beat Walk-' er, Cuthbert beat Smith, Bartlett beat Hearle, Whitfield a bye. Second round—Good beat Cuthbert, BartStevens, Cuthbert beat Whitfield, er, Hearle beat Smith, Stevens a bye. Third round—Bartlett beat Steevns, Cuthbert beat Whitfield, Budd beat Hearle, Good a bye. Fourth round—Budd beat Good, Stevens beat Cuthbert, Bartlett a bye. Fifth round—Budd beat Bartlett, Good beat Stevens. Semi-final: Bartlett beat Good. Final—Budd 22 beat Bartlett 17.
